The Draft Alaska State Rail Plan has arrived. Haines rail to Carmacks is mentioned in several places. The Alaska State Rail Plan is a document looking ahead 20 years that gets filed with the United States government so they can plan on what the rail needs are. This is a great step forward for us. This is a result of Haines Port Development Council LLC. Being part of the Alaska State Rail Plan Technical Advisory Group. Being part of the group was a help getting the Haines Rail Study done.
